The São Paulo Civil Police closed a clandestine cosmetics factory on the morning of Tuesday (06), during an operation in the city of Americana, in the interior of the state. At the scene, also responsible for the commercialization of the products, a 37 -year -old suspected man was arrested in the act.
During the action, the police found dozens of boxes with stocked products and a packaging machine on the front of the factory, which operated in a residence. The local resident was approached when leaving in a vehicle and, when asked, admitted the manufacture of cosmetics without authorization and allowed the entry of the agents.
Inside the house, shampoos, gels, conditioners, empty bottles already with labels, filling machines (where the product is packed), raw materials and essences were located. A notebook with accounting notes and product samples were also seized.
The city’s General Investigations Police Station (DIG) requested expert examinations with the Institute of Criminalistics (IC).
In addition, the Sanitary Surveillance also participated in the operation, collecting the remaining material, about 30 boxes with massage gel units and other inputs, and destined it to the Americana landfill.
The case was recorded as a crime against consumer relations and forgery of therapeutic and medicinal products. The arrested suspect follows at the disposal of the court.
