The Civil Police of Piauí concluded that student Janaína da Silva Bezerra was raped when she was already dead by Thiago Mayson, 28, who is studying mathematics at the university.
The information is part of the inquiry and was confirmed by the delegate Nathália Figueiredo, nine days after the student was found dead inside the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) while participating in a party held on the premises of the institution.
Last Sunday (5), the police indicted the master’s student for double murder, rape, procedural fraud and vilification of a corpse.
According to police chief Nathália Figueiredo, Thiago committed sexual violence against a student when she was unconscious and, shortly thereafter, committed the second violence with her already dead, configuring the crime of vilification of a corpse.
During investigations, police authorities found evidence of the crime on the accused’s cell phone. Thiago filmed the aggressions committed against Janaína.
The delegate told the CNN that images and videos of both the first and second violence were found. The material collected shows Janaina with blood on her private parts and on the accused’s hands.
“He took pictures of the bloody hands as if they were a trophy in the face of violence against the victim”, said the delegate.
Still according to the authority, in a video recorded by Thiago, Janaína was bewildered and eating a banana. Police believe that this video was a record between the first and second sexual violence.
The delegate also pointed out that the police concluded that the young woman was the victim of psychological and physical violence.
The defense of the accused was not located until the publication of the matter.
