Police deactivate counterfeit perfume factory in Greater SP

The Civil Police in São Paulo deactivated, this Tuesday (4), a counterfeit perfume factory, which operated in Mogi das Cruzes, in Greater São Paulo. Several products were seized at the scene.

According to the police, other search and seizure warrants, authorized by the Court, were carried out at at least three addresses in the East Zone and North Zone of São Paulo, in locations that function as product warehouses.

The investigative work was carried out by police officers from the 1st DIG Police Station (Anti-Piracy), of the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic). Today's operation aimed to combat piracy of this type of product and was supported by brand representatives.

According to the police, the factory was responsible for clandestinely supplying the market with perfumes from international brands. During the investigation, it was identified that a large part of the sales took place online.

The seized material will undergo forensic examination. Those involved will be charged with crimes against industrial property.
