Twelve bodies were found buried in a clandestine cemetery in a forested area in Lucas do Rio Verde (MT). The bodies were located with the help of a Fire Department sniffer dog.
According to the Civil Police, last week ten graves were found with 11 bodies. The searches continued and, last Monday (13), another bone was located, totaling 12 bodies.
Delegate Allan Vitor Sousa da Mata reported that the Civil Police had already been investigating the region due to the record of homicides, kidnappings and disappearances in Lucas do Rio Verde in recent months.
The Official Forensic and Technical Identification of Mato Grosso (Politec) is working to identify the bodies. To date, four victims have been identified through fingerprint analysis:
- Rafael Pereira de Souza, 34 years old, born in Rondonópolis;
- Wilner Alex de Oliveira Silva, 29 years old, born in Poxoréo;
- Andris David Mattey Nadales, 19 years old, born in Venezuela;
- Mateus Bonfin de Souza, 18 years old, born in Lucas do Rio Verde.
Investigations to clarify the homicides are underway at the Lucas do Rio Verde Police Station.
