Police discover motorcycle dismantled after clumsy man drops parts from backpack

The Military Police found a motorcycle dismantling in Campinas (SP) after a man, when trying to leave a location, dropped motorcycle parts from his backpack.

The suspect was approached by the police, which led to the discovery of six stolen motorcycles from a house in the Jardim Monte Cristo neighborhood. Two men, aged 22 and 27, were arrested.

The incident occurred when police officers, on patrol, noticed that the motorcyclist was carrying a large backpack.

While moving, three motorcycle license plates, a wheel and a front suspension fell out of the bag, which was open. When questioned, the suspect said he had recently purchased the parts.

The agents noticed several motorcycles that were in the house where the man had left, some dismantled.

With the gate open, the team entered the residence and, after checking, found that the motorcycles were stolen, one of them with a Santa Catarina license plate.

The owner of the house soon appeared and was arrested along with the motorcyclist. Both were taken to the Campinas Sectional Police Station, where they were charged with receiving and tampering with identifying signs.
