The São Paulo Civil Police dismantled a stolen and stolen motorcycle breakdown scheme that operated under the facade of a store in the central region of the capital.
The investigation was conducted by the 1st Police Station for theft and Vehicle Theft (Divecar), the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic), and culminated in the arrest of two suspects in the act.
According to the investigators, the gang operated in the neighborhood of Republic and dismounted, on average, up to 20 motorcycles per day at the site. The store was registered as a regular trade, but served as a point of reception and dismantling of subtracted vehicles.
On Monday (5), after monitoring of the Tempacar team, the police conducted a bell at the address and noticed suspicious movement, even with the closed store facade.
The lights in the back of the property were lit, and two men were seen entering motorcycles. They were approached at the exit and, upon entering the establishment, the agents found evidence of the crime.
Upon noticing the police presence, the other members of the group fled the back. Support teams were called, but the suspects were not found.
The expertise was called and various materials were seized, including four stolen or stolen motorcycles, hundreds of parts and accessories, vehicle plates, signal inhibitor devices, tools, gas cylinders, checks, payment vouchers and more than $ 9,000 in cash.
During the forensics, a theft victim attended the scene stating that his motorcycle tracker pointed to the property. She was able to locate the vehicle partially dismantled inside the store.
The two men arrested were taken to the headquarters of the 1st Divecar, where they remained detained. The case was registered as a motor vehicle identifier signal, criminal association and qualified reception.
Investigations continue to identify and arrest the others involved in the scheme.
