Police discover stolen vehicles in the east zone of SP

An investigation against vehicle theft in the east zone of São Paulo led the Civil Police to dismantle, on Tuesday (13), a highly structured clandestine in the region of Sapopemba. Ten suspects were arrested in the act as they dismantled three stolen utility cars a few hours earlier.

The action was conducted by agents of the 8th Specialized Center for the Suppression of Diverse Crimes and Occurrences (Siege), who identified the address to which the subtracted vehicles were being taken.

Based on the events gathered, the investigators requested a search warrant, which was granted by the court. Before complying with the court order, the police conducted a bell to monitor the movement in the shed and try to stop those involved in the act.

As they listened to noise from the inside of the property, they decided to enter and found the space completely prepared for criminal practice – the site had acoustic isolation and several signal blockers, which make it difficult to locate by tracking.

The ten suspects were taken to the 8th Sectional Police Station of St. Matthew, where they remain arrested available to the courts. The case was registered as qualified reception, motor vehicle identifying signal and criminal association.
