Police discovers synthetic drug laboratory and holds double in SP

The Civil Police launched, last Wednesday (21), an operation against a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking, which worked in cities in the interior and the metropolitan region of São Paulo.

During the action, a synthetic drug laboratory was discovered in the municipality of Araçariguama. At the scene, the police seized 49 ecstasy tablets, 234 pounds of narcotics manufacturing, electronic cigarettes, four pistols, a shotgun and five vehicles. Two brothers, 34 and 44, were arrested in the act. Watch video:

According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP-SP), the investigations began after the analysis of the data of a man’s cell phone previously arrested for trafficking.

Messages extracted from the device revealed details about the operation of the gang, including production, supply, accounting and drug marketing.

With the information, the Civil Police obtained 16 search and seizure warrants against 12 investigated. The orders were met in the cities of Santana de Parnaíba, Cajamar, Long Island, Osasco, Campinas and Araçariguama – where the laboratory was located.

In addition to the drugs, weapons, ammunition, money, notebooks, cell phones and notebooks were seized with trafficking notes. In total, seven men and one woman were indicted for association with trafficking.

The two brothers found at the laboratory in Araçariguama, which were not among the operations’ initial targets, were taken to the Santana de Parnaíba Police Station and remained arrested.

The case was registered as drug trafficking, association for trafficking, illegal possession of weapon, location and seizure of object, in addition to the fulfillment of search and seizure warrants.
