A clandestine camp of prospectors was dismantled in Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade (MT), more than 500 kilometers from Cuiabá (MT), by the Mato Grosso Civil Police, on Tuesday (12).
At the scene, nine units of dynamite bananas were found. The action is part of Operation Inter Parties, which targets criminal factions present in the region.
Other detonation materials were found, such as spoiler, detonating string roll, precision scale, 22 -caliber ammunition, traces of roles used for narcotics packing and ammonium nitrate, a substance commonly used in the manufacture of explosives for hole opening in clandestine mining.
The agents found several canvas shacks with good structure, with individual stalls, water facilities, sleeping structure and staying in place indefinitely, large amounts of foods and residues around, such as plastic bottles, alcoholic beverages and other waste of daily use. For the police, these would be strong evidence of a clandestine camp of illegal prospectors.
During steps, PCMT went to the retreat of Fazenda Serra Dourada, where they located a woman who said her husband would be one of those involved with the illegal mining found in the region. She even recognized a cell phone seized as her husband. Given the facts, the competent authority was informed for appropriate legal action.
