Police grasp 2 tons of marijuana with Pablo Escobar’s face in MG

More than two tons of marijuana were seized in a truck on the night of last Thursday (22) in Pará de Minas (MG), a city located about 85 kilometers from Belo Horizonte.

What caught the eye was that the drug packaging contained the drawing of a dollar note with the print of Pablo Escobar’s face, leader of a drug cartel in Colombia.

The vehicle was being monitored by the Integrated Intelligence Service of the Combating Organized Crime (Ficco) of Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.

According to the military, when approached, already at the final destination, in Pará de Minas, the driver claimed that he was carrying a load of 15 thousand cell phones. However, it did not present invoice of the product and the police said that the smell of marijuana coming from the entire vehicle was easily perceived.

The trailer was loaded with about 1,750 drugs, ready for consumption. The load totaled two tons of the drug. The driver told police that he took the trailer in Campo Grande (MS) and would receive about $ 100,000 to deliver drugs in the city.

The driver was arrested in the act and sent to the Federal Police Station in Divinópolis (MG).
