The Civil and Military Police of Rio de Janeiro seized a Arsenal of weapons of war that belonged to a paramilitary group From the Santa Cruz region, in the west of the city, this Friday (21).
According to the Military Police, the agents received a complaint about the existence of a place that was used to keep the weapons of the militia.
At the scene, police officers located and seized rifles, three communications radios, a vest cover, a revolver, camouflaged clothes, balaclava, a monitoring camera and over 1,200 ammunition.
Investigations pointed out that the seized weapons would have been used in attacks on security agents.
The materials were sent to the 36th Santa Cruz Police Station (RJ), where they were available to the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC) that will find out if ammunition and weapons are compatible with those used in crimes that are already investigated.
The Civil Police reported that the case is still under investigation to identify the members of the criminal group that operates in the region.
