The São Paulo Civil Police investigates the death of a 10 -month baby in a day care center located in the west of the capital on the afternoon of Friday (16).
According to the Municipal Secretariat of Education (SME), after the afternoon sleep period, the unit teacher realized that the baby did not respond to stimuli.
The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) stressed that the victim was rescued and sent to Outpatient Medical Assistance (AMA) Jardim Peri-PERI, but did not resist.
The expertise was called to the scene and examinations were requested at the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) to assist in the investigations of the cause of death.
In a note, the portfolio lamented the death of the child at the Center for Early Childhood Education (CEI) Mother of God and reported that the Regional Board of Education (DRE) follows the case. The clarifications of the case were also requested from the organization of civil society (OSC) responsible for the unit.
The Learning Follow -up Center (NAAPA) continues to support the victim’s family and the occurrence was recorded as suspicious death at the 89th Police District (Jardim Taboão).
