The Civil Police are investigating an attack on fire on Sunday night (5) in the Vila Isabel neighborhood of Três Rios, which resulted in the deaths of two 17 -year -olds. Two other young people – one 17 and one of 19 years – were injured and were sent to health facilities in the region.
According to information from the Military Police press office, armed criminals fired at a group of people on Fagundes Varela Street. Teams of the 38th BPM (three rivers) were called for the occurrence. The firefighters were also called around 10:40 pm and made the victims’ help.
The injured were taken to the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Clinical Hospital. To date, there is no confirmed information about the health status of the two survivors.
The case was registered at the 108th Police Station (three rivers), which has already started the investigation and search for images of security cameras and witnesses to clarify what motivated the attack. There is information on territorial dispute between rival criminal factions, which may indicate an episode of retaliation.
The Civil Police continues with the findings and reinforces the request for any relevant information to be passed on anonymously to the complaint channels.
