A police investigation was opened by the Civil Police of Itapema, in Santa Catarina, to investigate the death of a couple that occurred last Sunday night (14) in an apartment located in the city center. Eduarda Gorgick and Sérgio Correa were found dead.
According to delegate Ícaro Malveira, who presides over the case, there is the possibility that a femicide followed by suicide occurred.
At the scene of the crime, cell phones and a firearm were located. The objects were seized and sent for forensic examination. The cell phones had been placed by the victim on a fire hydrant.
The delegate also reported that an examination of the bodies and the apartment was requested. According to him, images of the building where the couple lived were requested.
“We are now waiting for the expert report to be prepared, especially on cell phones, as we will possibly arrive at the motivation for the crime with the analysis of these objects,” said Malveira.
Regarding the testimonies, Ícaro informed that they will begin next Thursday (18), thus respecting the “mourning of family and friends”. The conclusions of the case will only be answered at the end of the investigation and with the completion of the expertise.
