The 4th Police District of São Paulo, in Consolação, began investigating the case in which an elevator fell with three people inside in the Higienópolis neighborhood, in the central region of the capital of São Paulo, on August 6.
The building in which the accident occurred is located on the corner of Rua Piauí and Avenida Angélica. In the elevator were two men and Adriana Maria de Jesus, 45 years old. Everyone was rescued with injuries, but Adriana did not survive.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, the case is being investigated as a suspicious death and bodily injury. In a note, the department reported that police officers from the 4th DP are looking for evidence and hearing witnesses to clarify the facts.
