The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro opened an investigation this Friday (4) to investigate a false application of vaccine against Covid-19 in a child in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, a municipality located in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The investigations will start from Monday (7).
On the other hand, the Municipal Health Department of Campos, through a note, confirmed the removal of the nursing technician who failed to apply the immunizing agent to a 10-year-old boy. He also stated that a probe was set up to investigate the case. The City Hall said it will reassess the boy on Tuesday (8) and later decide whether a new dose will be given to the child.
“After analyzing the images, it was found that there is indeed a chance of non-vaccination. The nursing technician has already been heard and an investigation procedure has even been initiated to monitor the case. The professional was removed and is being monitored by the Department of Nursing (DENF) of the Municipal Health Department”, highlights the Municipal Health Department.
The video obtained by CNN shows the exact moment when the health professional stops applying the immunizing agent to the boy. The recording was made by the boy’s mother, the housewife, Cristiane Lopes, 29 years old. THE CNNshe stated that she does not understand the reasons that made the nurse stop vaccinating her child.
“At first, I hadn’t noticed that my son had not been immunized. Just hours later, my sister alerted me that the nurse had not dosed Nycollas. I will take the necessary measures against her, because this is absurd”, highlighted Cristiane.
