Police investigate murder of bus driver while working in Recife

The Civil Police of Pernambuco, through the Homicide Task Force Team in the Capital, recorded the murder of a 41-year-old man on Thursday night (3).

According to the police, the victim was found dead inside a minibus on BR-101, in the Ibura neighborhood, South Zone of Recife, with several gunshot wounds.

The driver worked at Jaboatão dos Guararapes Complementary Transport and was murdered in the early evening. He drove a minibus on line 109 – Curcurana/Cajá, heading to the neighborhood of Pontezinha, in Cabo de Santo Agostinho.

According to witness reports, two armed men forced the driver to stop the vehicle and ordered the passengers to get out. They then took the victim on the bus and shot him twice in the head.

The crime occurred near the Arnaldo Marques Polyclinic and Maternity, in Ibura, and the body was found by people passing through the area. The Military Police were called and isolated the crime scene. The Pernambuco Civil Police is investigating the case.
