The Santa Catarina Civil Police opened an inquiry to investigate the case of the law student who used the money for graduation of the class for online bets, especially the game of Tigrinho. About R $ 77 thousand were lost.
Police report that 16 students contributed for three years to raise the money needed to fund the party. The amount was deposited in the account of one of the students, who was the chairman of the graduation committee.
In late January, the company that would make the party received a call from the chairman of the commission, informing that he would no longer have the money to make the payment, adding that he would have lost all the amount in bets on the internet.
The Civil Police were called and the inquiry was opened by the Chapecó Police Station (SC), “where the evidence related to the case is being gathered and where all victims, witnesses and the suspicion itself will be heard in the coming days.”
“The police delegate responsible for the investigation has already sent representation to the judiciary in order to track and, if possible, recover the allegedly diverted value.
