Police locate captive woman by tracking victim’s audio to her husband

The Military Police of São Paulo rescued a woman from captivity, in the early hours of this Thursday (4), after tracking an audio sent by the victim to her husband at the time of the crime. There was an exchange of fire between the police and the criminals.

One criminal was shot and died, one woman was arrested and the other individual shot remains hospitalized in police custody. The victim was rescued unharmed.

According to police, the victim is a 46-year-old woman, an app driver, who was kidnapped on Rua Três Arapongas, in Jaguaré, around 1 am this Monday.

The woman recorded an audio to her husband – by cell phone – when she was approached by criminals.

“The police officers, after calling the Copom, went to the Jaguaré community following the tracking made by the victim’s cell phone, provided by her husband. There was a confrontation, two individuals were injured and rescued by the Rescue to the University Hospital, where one of them could not resist the injuries and the other remains under observation,” the police said in a statement.

Two firearms were seized in the operation. The authorities also said that, upon reaching the location indicated by the tracking, they saw the victim’s vehicle, a black Crete, and another vehicle, a red Fox.

“As they approached the cars, a group got out of the woman’s vehicle and shot at the military police. With him some belongings of the victim were found, such as earrings, necklace and watch “, said the PM.

The case was registered as robbery, extortion and death resulting from police intervention.
