Police officers used a dog to attack an unarmed and surrendered black man during a police stop on an Ohio highway, in the United States.
The man was driving a truck when he was stopped by police officers. In the footage taken by the security camera, it is possible to see the driver getting out of the vehicle and going to the lawn that divides the two lanes of the highway, with his arms up.
One of the police officers asks the other not to let go of the dog to attack the man, as he already had his hands up. The order is ignored and the dog attacks the man.
After the attack, the driver is handcuffed while lying on the ground, injured. In the video, you can hear him questioning the approach with the dog.
The case took place on July 4, but the images were released only this week. Police said the man was stopped after ignoring a stop order on the highway.
Human rights activists have criticized the conduct of US police officers.
The agent who released the animal was removed from office and the case is being investigated.
