Police officers have seized weapons after a fight at a show home in RJ

Two military police officers were involved in a widespread fight during an event held on the court of the United Samba School of Porto da Pedra, in São Gonçalo, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.

The episode took place on the night of last Tuesday (30) and resulted in the seizure of the weapons of those involved by the Civil Police.

According to the State Department of the Military Police, the agents attended the event in a rented space of the samba school, when they fell out with other attendees. They showed signs of drunkenness and were removed from the site by security. Watch the fight video:

After departure, the police requested the return of their weapons, which were in custody of the security sector of the event, but the request was denied due to the state in which they were.

The safety official sought the 73rd DP to report the situation and record the occurrence. The weapons have been seized and an accurate procedure will be instituted to investigate the circumstances.

In a statement, Unidos do Porto da Pedra stated that the episode of violence is unrelated to the school or its members. The court, according to the association, was rented for private event purposes with independent production team. “We regret the incident and follow carefully the consequences of this sad episode,” says the statement.

The Civil Police reported that the 73rd PD conducts the investigations. Those involved were sent for crime body examination and the place images are being analyzed. Diligences follow to clarify the facts.
