The two police officers caught putting a plastic bag on a woman’s head in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul, became defendants in the Military Court of RS for torture, robbery and threat.
The case occurred on January 1st, in the city located in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre.
According to a complaint from the Rio Grande do Sul Public Ministry, a man was also “handcuffed, placed on his knees, beaten and asphyxiated with a plastic bag over his head”.
Police officers arrived looking for drugs and entered the establishment with the victims. The door to the bar was closed, and the attacks began afterwards.
According to the MP’s complaint, when the man was almost passed out, the police placed the plastic bag on the woman’s head.
The accused realized they were being filmed and left the scene. The two left a gun and a ballistic vest on one of the tables and even took drinks and R$250 in cash from the bar.
Both police officers were arrested on the night of the crime.
