The Roraima Civil Police (PCRR) launched, last Wednesday (7), an operation against members of the First Capital Command (CCP) Responsible for drug trafficking in the municipalities of Boa Vista, Caracaraí, Mucajaí, Iracema and Rorainópolis.
The offensive, which is part of the National RenoRRIM II operation of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, resulted in the arrest of five people – including the faction leader in the state, known as “Smile Maroto” .
The action, called Operation end of dance, mobilized 150 civil police officers and was supported by the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco), the Public Prosecution Service of the State of Roraima, the Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship and the Tactical Response Group.
24 search and seizure warrants were served, as well as five arrest. Two other people were caught in the act for drug trafficking.
According to Draco’s chief delegate (Criminal Organizations Suppression Police Station), Wesley Oliveira, the main target of the operation was 37 -year -old Rodrigo Alberto Xavier, the “Maroto Smile”.
The suspect is from Sao Paulo and was sent to the state to restructure the criminal faction in Roraima. He had already been arrested in March this year in Caracaraí, after presenting false documents, and was serving an open sentence.
“We were able to identify the members of the organization and, with the support of the Public Prosecution Service and the judiciary, reached the group’s nucleus in Roraima. The place where the drug was stored, considered the” vault “of the faction, was dismantled,” explained the delegate.
During the action, police seized 10 pounds of cocaine, approximately 3 kilos of skunk, precision scales, weapons, cartridges, ballistic vests and cell phones.
One of the flagrant occurred on a farm in the Cujubim, 40 km from Caracaraí, where the agents walked 3 km in dense forest to locate a tonne with 4 kg of buried cocaine.
A 32 -year -old woman, pointed out as a “female general” of the faction – responsible for coordinating the group’s actions among women – was also arrested.
In addition to this week’s operation, other actions on May 1st and 2nd, in the municipalities of Rorainópolis and Alto Alegre, resulted in more than seven arrests and about 40 warrants served.
