Police recover cell phones that were allegedly stolen at RBD and Taylor Swift concerts

This Tuesday morning (21), police officers from DEIC (State Department of Criminal Investigations) seek to seize a thousand cell phones, notebooks and tablets of illicit origin, in the central region of São Paulo, during Operation Off Line 2

According to the investigation, the devices would have been stolen or stolen during RBD shows, at the Cícero Pompeu de Toledo stadium, in Morumbi, and at the Taylor Swift singer’s performances, at the Engenhão Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro. There are also devices that would have been stolen during Black Consciousness holiday events.

This morning (21), just over 850 pieces of equipment had been recovered. Most of the products were found in the center of São Paulo.

The operation is coordinated by the 1st DIG Police Station (Anti-Piracy). In total, 50 police officers are executing the warrants on Rua dos Guaianazes, in Largo do Arouche, and Avenida da Liberdade, both addresses are located in the central region of São Paulo.

The operation aims to dismantle the structure of a criminal group responsible for selling stolen cell phones. For the police, the scheme is operated by Africans who end up sending the equipment to other countries.
