The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro carried out, on the morning of this Tuesday (19), a search and seizure operation in addresses linked to rapper Filipe Ret.
Currently the fifth most listened to artist in Brazil, Ret is accused by police of “free drug distribution” during his birthday party. The event took place on June 23, at the Vivo Rio concert hall, in Aterro do Flamengo, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
After the searches, delegate Marcus Amin said, without specifying quantities, that “drugs were found” at addresses of the singer in the neighborhoods of Flamengo and Glória.
Ret was taken to the police station “in flagrante delicto for possession of narcotics”, according to the delegate.
According to police information, agents from the Police Station for Repression of Narcotics (DRE) went to a luxury resort in Costa Verde, Angra dos Reis region, where the rapper is staying.
Ret’s cell phone was seized in the operation.

“Another search target was the Vivo Rio space. According to the investigators, the administration of the show house refused to provide, in full, the images of the day Filipe Ret promoted a party at which, supposedly, there was free distribution of drugs”, informed the Civil Police, in a note. .
The Police say that the investigations were started the day after the event, after the artist himself published on his social networks “images and texts that made reference to the delivery of marijuana to the guests”.
Ret posted photos on Instagram after the party, which was called an “open beck” (an analogy to the popular “open bar”), in which he is seen holding a bucket of artisanal cigarettes. The post was later deleted.
THE CNN tries to contact Filipe Ret’s and Vivo Rio’s advisors to comment on the operation.
