Police seek suspicious application driver in Rio de Janeiro

The Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC) looks for Luan Barbosa e Silva, Suspected of shooting and killed engineer Patrick Sicom França During a robbery in the neighborhood of Rio Comprido, in central Rio de Janeiro.

THE Crime happened on the night of April 5 this year and was recorded by residents of the region. According to the Civil Police, Luan was identified as the author of the shot that hit the victim’s face. He was on the back of a motorcycle used in the criminal action.

At the time of the robbery, Patrick reacted and went into a body fight with one of the robbers. During the confusion, Luan drew the gun and fired at the driver, who died at the scene.

Two involved in the crime were arrested last Friday (25) by agents of the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC), on the island of Governor, North Zone of Rio. They were identified as Carlos Henrique Ramalho Lopes Carvalho and Vitor Manuel Nascimento Coutinho.

The court has already issued a temporary arrest warrant against Luan, who is still a fugitive. According to investigations, it is considered of high danger.

Images of security cameras at Santa Alexandrina Street helped identify criminals. In the video, you can see the moment when the victim, who drove a white Renault Duster, is approached by the suspects and reacts. The exchange of aggression lasts about 20 seconds, until Patrick runs after the pair and ends up being shot.

The Civil Police say several steps are underway to locate Luan. Information about the suspect’s whereabouts can be passed on anonymously to the Homicide Police Station or the Denunciation Dial, at the number (21) 2253-1177.
