The Civil Police of São Paulo seized 35 luxury vehicles, valued at R$20 million, this Thursday (5). The action is part of Operation Mil Milhas, launched against a criminal organization that used dealerships to launder money obtained from drug trafficking.
PCSP teams served 13 search and seizure warrants in the cities of Indaiatuba and Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo. At least seven people are being investigated for the crimes.
Among the items seized were seven computers and six cell phones. The agents confiscated financial assets such as checks and cash. Jewelry, watches and documents were seized during the execution of the court orders.
Another 42 cars, also related to the suspects, were judicially blocked by the online vehicle judicial restriction system created by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), which connects the Judiciary to the National Department of Transit (Denatran).
The case was registered at the 2nd Narcotics Investigations Division (Dise), of the State Criminal Investigations Division (Deic). All seized objects will be examined to help with the continuation of the investigation.
