A drone flying over the Dalton Crespo de Castro public prison, in Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ) was intercepted by criminal police officers on Friday night (3) by agents from the Penitentiary Administration Secretariat.
According to the ministry, the drone was trying to find the location of the delivery point with the traffickers when it was seized by prison police officers. With the equipment, chopped dry herbs and a tablet with a white powder were found. Both are under analysis.
In a statement, the secretariat reported that the drone was seen by police officers from the pavilion next to the place where the drugs were found.
So far, no one has been arrested. The seized material and the drone were handed over to the Civil Police. The secretariat reported that, in parallel with the police investigation, it opened an inquiry to investigate the fact.
