Police officers from the State Department of Criminal Investigations of São Paulo (Deic) seized 33,000 counterfeit designer handbags in a warehouse on Rua Augusta, in the Bela Vista neighborhood, central area of the capital of São Paulo.
No one was arrested in the action, which took place on Monday night (11), but the person responsible for the site is already responsible for a crime against industrial property. See images of the deposit below.
The deposit operated in a commercial complex on Rua Augusta that has other businesses, including a church.
The discovery of the deposit came about during surveys carried out by agents from the 1st DIG Police Station (Anti-Piracy). The team was investigating the origin of counterfeit designer handbags that are sold in the main popular shopping centers in the city of São Paulo, such as Rua 25 de Março and Brás.
According to the police, the seized material will undergo forensic examination.
