The Military Police of Mato Grosso dismantled a gang and seized a rifle, four pistols, two bulletproof vests and 34 drug tablets during an operation in the municipality of Cáceres, 217 km from the capital Cuiabá.
According to police information, the action was initiated after an anonymous tip about a large drug dump at a residence. As officers approached the scene, they observed two vehicles involved in the shipment.
One of the cars was spotted leaving the house, leading the police to split up: one team remained at the property while the other followed the vehicle. When approaching the two men who left the house, nothing illegal was found.
However, a search carried out in the car that had remained at the house and inside the residence revealed five marijuana tablets, precision scales and materials used for trafficking.
The team accompanying the other vehicle identified two suspects unloading illicit materials in another house and leaving the location. Upon entering the residence, the police approached two more men, who did not react to the action.
Inside the house, a .556 caliber rifle, three .9mm caliber pistols, a .40 caliber pistol, a simulacrum of a firearm, as well as ammunition for all weapons, were seized. 29 marijuana tablets, cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine base paste were also found.
The other two suspects who were with the vehicle were located and detained by the PM in the same region.
As a result of the incident, all six suspects were arrested and taken, along with all the seized material, to the city police station to register the incident.
