Polish Foreign Minister: Russia attacked political infrastructure because its strategy in Ukraine failed

Russia’s war in Ukraine is marked by a “failure of Moscow tactics and strategy,” Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rao, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), told the UN Security Council today. Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

Due to this failure, Russia changed its approach after the invasion of February 24, and “attacked political infrastructure,” he added. This is “state terrorism” and the perpetrators “will be tried”, the Polish minister warned.

Recalling that Moscow accuses him of lack of impartiality during the exercise of the OSCE chairmanship, Zbigniew Rao stressed that “impartiality stops where violations of international humanitarian law begin.” In the context of the OSCE, “Russia has had every opportunity to work at the diplomatic level” in terms of its security concerns, he added. “But the worst case scenario came true,” he said.

“Russia’s aggression endangers the OSCE and its future,” Rowe said. He said he would soon visit Moldova and the Balkan countries to discuss a peaceful way out of the crisis.
