Politico: Charles Michel nominates Kyriakos Mitsotakis for von der Leyen’s Commission position

The outgoing president of the European Council, Charles Michel, has drawn up a plan to remove Ursula von der Leyen from the position of head of the Commission, as reported by Politico. Charles Michel, speaking to the leaders of the European Union, expresses the opinion that the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, “should take over von der Leyen’s job”, as five diplomats and EU officials told the magazine, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
