Hundreds of schools in Brussels and the southern Walloon region of Belgium are set to follow the foundation’s example. Over the summer, the new government of the French-speaking Walloon community announced plans to ban smartphones in elementary schools as well as the first three years of secondary school, according to a Politico report.
