Poll: 30% of gamers view NFT games as a full-time job

According to a survey conducted by Balthazar, more than 30% of gamers are willing to quit their full-time job to make money on model-based games (Play-to-Earn, P2E).

Analysts surveyed 1,103 Filipinos playing blockchain games. According to the results of the survey, 31% of respondents are ready to quit their job or consider quitting in order to make money on games using NFT.

Another 59% answered that they are ready to combine their main work with games in order to receive additional income. More than 65% said they needed to make more than $42 a day playing games to consider leaving their jobs. More than half answered that an average of $15 would be enough for them.

Balthazar CEO John Stefanidis said he was not surprised by the results. In his opinion, now many Filipinos are ready to quit their full-time jobs to earn money on games, because this way they have the opportunity to earn the same amount of money with less effort.

However, most gamers believe that it is not yet possible to make full money on games using NFTs. Even though the concept of blockchain games is revolutionary, it will still remain raw. Luis Buenaventura, head of YGG Pilipinas gaming company, is confident that in the future more people will quit their regular jobs to make money on games.

In February of this year, the analytical company Newzoo published a report according to which more and more gaming companies will use blockchain in their products.
