Not long now 40th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio start. Scheduled for September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, 2024, several attractions are confirmed to perform at Cidade do Rock, in Rio de Janeiro. Vote below in the poll CNN to choose the most anticipated show of this edition.
On the very first day, the rapper Travis Scott closes the performances on the World Stage. Names like 21 Savage, Ludmilla and Matuê also take the stage on September 13th.
The next day, the 14th, imagine Dragons closes the night of presentations, which previously receives OneRepublic, Zara Larsson and Lulu Santos on the World Stage.
Already Rock Day is scheduled for the first Sunday of performances, on September 15th. Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence, Journey and The Paralamas of Success are planned, in addition to the bands Deep Purple and Incubus that are in the Sunset Stage line-up.
On the other weekend of presentations, names like Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Katy Perry, Karol G, Cyndi Lauper, Iza, Glória Gaynor, Shawn Mendes, Akon, Ne-Yo and Mariah Carey take the stage. In addition to Will Smith announced on the Sunset Stage, last Sunday (1st).
It is worth mentioning that on the 21st, the so-called “Brazil Day” takes place, which brings together national artists representing different musical genres and rhythms.
After the general sale, four days of the festival — September 13, 14, 20 and 22 — sold out and, in the Rock in Rio pre-sale itself, tickets for the six days were over in just two hours and 15 minutes. Despite this, three days of the event still have tickets available on the Ticketmaster website:
- September 15: Rock Day with Avenged Sevenfold as headliner;
- September 19: with Ed Sheeran as headliner; and
- September 21: Brazil Day.
