Pope Francis on Wednesday called the bombing of a crowded shopping mall in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk a “barbaric attack”.
Ukraine said at least 18 people were killed and about 60 were injured on Monday in a Russian missile strike.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it hit a legitimate military target in the city and the mall was not in use.
Zelensky accuses Russia of ‘insane terrorism’ in reaction to mall attack
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of having “totally insane terrorists” in reference to the airstrike on a shopping mall in Kremenchuk, central Ukraine. On Tuesday (28), Zelensky said the world must stop “Russian terror”.
“These are not off-target missile attacks on kindergartens, schools, shopping malls, apartment buildings, they are calculated attacks by the invaders. Russia must be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism. The world can and therefore must stop Russian terror.”
