Pope Francis entered St. Peter’s Square on Sunday (20) at a first time opened Paparmobile since he survived bilateral pneumonia, greeting thousands of Catholics after the celebration of Vatican Easter Mass.
The 88-year-old Pope sat in a high chair on the back of the white vehicle, while people aligned themselves in the halls of the square.
Many faithful held national flags and shouting “Long live the Pope!” (Long life to the Pope!).
The PapaMovel stopped briefly at various points in the square, decorated with colorful flowers to Easter, while papal advisors brought children from the crowd to bless them.
The pontiff gestured with his hands, but only raised them slightly.
Francisco, who has limited his workload by medical order, did not preside over the Vatican Easter Mass, but attended at the end of the event for a half -yearly blessing and message known as “Urbi et orbi” (to the city and the world).
