The pontiff should maintain the same account used by its predecessors – Benedict XVI and Francisco – on the “X” platform, a press release said. The user in this social network is @pontifex.

Pope Benedict XVI was the first to open an account on a social network. Also according to Vatican News, he made his first publication on then Twitter – currently X – at 84, on December 12, 2012.
