An extension until October 31 was given for the declaration of public markets in the Information System “improvement and simplification of the process of placement in the public markets”, with a provision of the Ministry of Development and Investments that is incorporated in the environmental multi-bill.
As stated in today’s post of the Panattic Federation of Market Sellers on its website, the deadline was set to expire on July 31, but as informed by the competent Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, because no interested parties had time to make the declaration, the extension is being given so that no someone is wronged and finds himself without a public market permit.
In the same article, in 131, it was foreseen that the holders of a popular market producer license of the prefecture of Attica especially, if they have up to twenty acres in OPSAA, can obtain a professional license and in addition it has now been added that the concept of producers also includes egg and honey producers .
As mentioned in the post, Mr. Georgiadis noted in his statements in his recent meeting with the president of the Panatian Federation of Market Vendors’ Associations (POSPLA) Dimitris Mouliatos: “We had not written it explicitly and some who went to make this change are prevented by system. It does not allow them to enter, but we make it clear that the article is valid as it was by clarifying that the concept of producer of popular markets also includes producers of popular markets who have a license to sell eggs and a license to sell honey…”.
In the context of the aforementioned meeting, as reported by the federation, among other things, Mr. Mouliatos raised the issue of the possibility of optional conversion of production licenses to professional ones and to those of the seller producers who are active in the production and sale of eggs and honey in the public markets .
This request was brought to the attention of the minister, since, for a number of months as mentioned, POSPLA received many related requests daily from producers active in the specific categories of products, thus claiming their inclusion in this beneficial provision for converting their licenses from productive in professional.
Thus, those producers and sellers of the popular markets who are included in the categories of eggs and honey who wish to do so, now have the possibility to apply for the conversion of their licenses.
“In this way, they themselves ensure a double benefit! As producers, they ensure their production activity on the one hand and, on the other hand, as licensed professional sellers, their professional presence and its advantages in every public market where they operate” concludes POSPLA.
