Rinaldo Oliveira Amaral, known as Mingau, is a bassist and music producer who has been active since the 1980s.
His first band of national projection was Ratos de Porão, where he played as a guitarist between 1982 and 1985.
Mingau recorded the split “SUB”, which combined songs from Ratos de Porão, Fogo Cruzado and Cólera, released in 1983.
The following year, with João Gordo on vocals for the band, Mingau recorded the guitars for Ratos’ debut album, “Crucificados pelo Sistema”, one of the first hardcore albums in Brazil.

At the end of the decade, in 1999, Mingau joined Ultraje a Rigor after Serginho Petroni left. That year, the band released “18 Anos Sem Tirar!”, an album recorded live three years earlier, which had four new tracks recorded in the studio, with Mingau.
In 2001, the band participates in the third edition of Rock in Rio, in a presentation with Ira!.
“In 2005, the band recorded and released, on CD and DVD (the first of their career), their Acústico MTV. The album includes great hits such as “Inútil”, “Mim Quer Tocar”, “Independente Futebol Clube” and “Eu Gosto de Mulher” and unreleased tracks, such as “Cada Um Por Si””, highlights the band in the biography on their official website .
In 2011, Ultraje, with Mingau, Roger, Bacalhau and Marcos Kleine in the formation, became part of the cast of the talk show “Agora É Tarde”, on Bandeirantes. The band migrated with presenter Danilo Gentilii to SBT, at the end of 2013, to the new talk show, “The Noite”, where they continue as a fixed band.
