Bassist Mingau, from the band Ultraje a Rigor, remains hospitalized in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) after being shot in the head during a trip to Paraty, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
The new medical bulletin, released by the singer’s daughter, on Wednesday (18), states that the musician is showing neurological improvement in a “slow and gradual” manner.
“Patient Rinaldo Amaral (Mingau) remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at Hospital São Luiz. The condition is stable, with a satisfactory clinical response to treatment. From a neurological point of view, there is a slow and gradual evolution with interaction through eye movement and reaction to stimuli. The patient continues with physiotherapeutic support”, says the note posted by the musician’s daughter, Isabella Aglio, on her Instagram.
Mingau was shot in the head in the early hours of September 3, in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. Since then, he has had two surgeries.
Four people have already been arrested on suspicion of participating in the attempted murder of the musician. The last arrest took place on Saturday (14), in the rural area of Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, there is still another fugitive suspected of participating in the case.
