Porsche case: Public prosecutor requests breach of confidentiality of driver credit cards

The Public Ministry of São Paulo (MPSP) requested, on Tuesday afternoon (23), the breach of confidentiality of data from Fernando Sastre, a businessman who was driving a Porsche before the accident that caused the death of app driver Ornaldo Viana.

The request presented by prosecutor Monique Ratton requests the breach of confidentiality of credit card data in the name of the driver of the luxury vehicle.

The prosecutor considered the measure as an “essential step” to demonstrate ownership of the cards used to pay for the possible consumption of alcoholic beverages by the person being investigated and his group of friends moments before the collision.

Furthermore, Monique requested the breach of confidentiality of third party data, if the cards used to pay the bar bill belonged to other people, be it the girlfriend or the friend who accompanied the driver.

Another request from the MPSP was to obtain images from the body cameras that were involved in the incident, as well as for the Criminalistics Institute to carry out an examination using a digital scanner and simulated reproduction of the facts in 3D.

In a statement, the Public Prosecutor's Office stated that the hearing of witnesses, such as the attendants at the bar where those involved came from, was also requested by the prosecutor.
