Igor Ferreira Sauceda, 27 years old, was indicted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo this Thursday (1st) for triple-qualified homicide.
He is accused of running over and killing motorcycle courier Pedro Kaique Ventura Figueiredo, on Avenida Interlagos, in the south of the capital of São Paulo.
According to the complaint, the Porsche driver allegedly acted with the intention to kill, for a futile reason and using cruel means, without giving the victim the opportunity to defend himself.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also requested that a minimum amount of compensation be set to be paid by the accused to the victim’s family, considering that the motorcycle courier was married and his wife was pregnant.
The accident occurred at around 1:20 am last Monday (29). Witnesses claim that Sauceda purposely crashed his car into Figueiredo’s motorcycle after an argument in traffic. The delivery boy was rescued, but did not survive his injuries and died in hospital.
Igor Sauceda underwent a breathalyzer test, which came back negative. He was arrested shortly after the incident.
On Tuesday (30), the Court converted Igor Sauceda’s arrest into preventive detention.
