Post-credits scene from ‘Dr. Strange 2’ reveals Charlize Theron’s entry into the MCU

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness It has already arrived in theaters around the world and, as we expected, it is being a resounding success at the box office. It was just his first weekend and already collected 450 million dollars worldwide, positioning it as the highest grossing premiere of the year.

Well, the film is full of surprises, because in addition to following the adventures of the superhero played by Benedict Cumberbatch, the Marvel studios left a great revelation for the end with their already characteristic post-credit scenes. On this occasion, it is about the incorporation into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU, for its acronym in English) of a great actress in a very special role.

Charlize Theron is Clea

In the post-credits scene of multiverse of madness a mysterious woman appears chatting with Cumberbatch’s character. This woman is Clea, an important character in the Doctor Strange comics and is played by none other than Charlize Theron.

Clea is the niece of Dormammu, the villain from the first Doctor Strange movie, and is a sorceress who, at first, is simply an ally of the superhero, but the sparks between them do not take long to emerge. We do not know if they will respect this specific plot in the MCU, but if they hired an actress of the stature of Theron, surely Clea will have an important role in the plot of future Marvel projects.

Unfortunately, it is also not known in which MCU projects Clea will appear. Some fans they speculate that to adapt the plot of Secret Wars, could have an important role in it due to what Clea tells Stephen Strange: “you have caused an incursion”, that is, a clash between two universes. If not, maybe we won’t see it until the third movie of the MCU’s most iconic sorcerer is released.

In any case, they surely have very special plans for both her and Doctor Strange himself and we can’t wait to see what other surprises Marvel studios have in store.
