The result of Correios in 2021 will allow the company to resume the payment of dividends to the Union, which should be in the order of R$ 251 million. The transfer still needs to be approved at the state-owned company’s general meeting, scheduled for April.
In addition, the federal government company provided R$ 63 million for the distribution of Profit Sharing (PLR) to employees. This payment, however, still needs the approval of the Ministry of Economy.
President of Correios, Floriano Peixoto said this Thursday (17) that the state-owned company is in talks with the folder so that the amount is authorized.
“These benefits are constitutional. And since we are paying dividends, we have to distribute PLR and also pay attention to RVA.
We are in a very intense discussion with the Ministry of Economy, and there is sensitivity for it to be authorized”, said Peixoto at a press conference after the publication of the results of the Post Office last year.
