The Chinese company GAC showed off the upcoming Aion V EV at Technology Day, which primarily impresses with its fast charging.
While many global brands only make promises, the GAC is already demonstrating a car charger that can dramatically change the situation in the market. According to the manufacturer, depending on the version, charging from 0% to 80% will be enough for 16 or even only 8 minutes!
The demonstration concerned the Aion V EV crossover, which will hit the market in the fall. Phenomenal performance was achieved thanks to the use of graphene batteries.
In more detail, the modification of the Aion V EV 3C with a battery providing a range of 500 km can be charged from 0% to 80% in 16 minutes, and from 30% to 80% in just 10 minutes. Modification Aion V EV 6C will be able to boast indicators of 8 and 5 minutes, respectively, offering a power reserve of up to 1000 km.
During the demonstration, the charger showed a power of 481 kW. At the same time, the GAC claims that such indicators do not affect the reliability of the battery in any way, and it should provide up to 1 million mileage, albeit at room temperature.
