The announcement of the Changan C385 electric car took place at the end of last year, and now the company has shown a video with its tests in the snow, and also revealed additional details.
For example, it became known that Changan C385 is built on a completely new EPA1 platform – and this is the first model of the company on it. The dimensions of the car are 4820 x 1890 x 1480 mm, the length of the wheelbase is 2900 mm. Changan C385 is classified as a mid-size sedans, although the creators focus on its coupe-like profile. And also at a rather low drag coefficient – Cd = 0.23.
Like Tesla electric cars, the front side windows are devoid of a frame, but Tesla does not have such headlights and lanterns. Particularly interesting was the rear lighting. The edge of the trunk lid rises slightly to better organize the airflow (imitation of a small spoiler) at the rear.
Changan C385 will receive a relatively simple autopilot (second or third level) with support for fully automatic parking. The infotainment system will be built on a Huawei solution (the so-called Huawei Cockpit system) running HarmonyOS.
The range will reportedly exceed 600 km, but the developers will also offer a hydrogen fuel cell version of the car. Apparently, the start of sales of Changan C385 will take place in the near future. It is expected that the cost will be in the range of 31,500 – 47,000 dollars.
