The President of the Panhellenic Hoteliers Federation, Mr. Grigoris Tassios, referred to the unprecedented circumstances due to the war in Ukraine, in which companies will be invited to resume their activities at the beginning of the summer tourist season. After two years of pandemic with losses, we want to take advantage of all the positive messages in the field of demand. It is like starting from scratch,” he said.

Speaking to journalist Eleni Sarikosta – official representative of the tourism fair in the Greek market, Mr. Tassios stressed: in Greece, to cover losses expected from mainly the Russian, but also the Ukrainian market. “.

The start of the new tourist season in Italy will be officially organized with the organization of the most historic tourism exhibition for the country, BIT. Tour Operators, travel agencies, airlines and journalists plan to be in Milan to discuss and stay informed about new trends: “green” hotels, sustainability, alternative tourism, experiential experiences, gastronomic tourism, B2B meetings etc. More specifically, a Greek central kiosk with Greek participations will be created, which will be located in a central part of the Pavillion World. According to Ms. Sarikosta, the Ionian Islands (PEDIN), the Region of Central Macedonia, the Halkidiki Tourism Organization have confirmed their participation, while other Regions of Greece, as well as Municipalities and hotel companies, have expressed interest.
