The Management of the PPA in a special event, which took place at the Cruise Station “Miaoulis”, proceeded to the free concession, to the Coast Guard, of 9 offices and other indoor and outdoor areas, with a total area of 1,100 sq.m., in order to cover building needs of the Special Forces (KEA) of the said Corps. The inauguration of the renovated areas took place in the presence of the Minister of Shipping Mr. Giannis Plakiotakis, the Metropolitan of Piraeus Seraphim who also performed the Agiasmos, the Chief of the Coast Guard Mr. Theodoros Kliaris and many other officials. It is pointed out that the Organization undertook the cost of the landscaping and renovation works of these spaces, amounting to 200,000 euros.
At the same time, PPA SA granted to the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy space within the land port zone of Piraeus for the parking of 170 cars of the employees of the Ministry.
The President of PPA SA Mr. Yu Zenggang characteristically stated: “Corporate Social Responsibility is always high on our priorities and we are always happy when we are given the opportunity to contribute to the work of critical services such as the Special Forces of the Coast Guard and the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy in in this case”.
