The company Avax submitted the lowest bid in the PPC Renewables tender for the project of development of a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 64,983MW at Agios Christoforos in the Municipality of Eordea in the Peripheral Unit of Kozani. The relevant tender was published by PPC Renewables at the beginning of August and concerned the study, the civil engineering works, the supply, transport, installation and commissioning of the photovoltaic station.
Apart from Avax, which submitted the lowest bid, TERNA, Dongfang, METKA and Intracat also participated in the tender.
The PV Station will be installed in the North Field deposit of the Lignite Center of Western Macedonia. The area, with a total area of approximately 1,050 acres, is part of the “Core” for the Development of PV Stations in the Depoliticization Zone.
The PV Station is expected to install PV panels with double-sided technology (bifacial) for increased production capacity. This technology ensures the multiple exploitation of solar energy as the sun’s rays falling on their backs are utilized.
The produced energy will be channeled to the System through interconnected underground lines M.T. 33kV, which will connect the PV Station with the outdoor type Substation 33 / 150kV, through a new Transformer gate.
